Standing Together Against Anti-social Behavior

McDonald’s took an initiative by joining hands with the Government to provide a strong back to the authorities against the Anti-social behavior and to accelerate the precautionary measures and lessen the anti-social behavior more prominently across the country.

What is Anti-social Behavior?

It is something where people are discouraged, bullied, harmed in the form of theft, harassments to the people belonging to different groups for the purpose of creating disruption in the surrounding.

Some serious steps have been taken by the Government of UK & Ireland in order to ensure the safety and security of the diverse communities or groups of people associated with different backgrounds. This reflects that the ASB or anti-social behavior and retail crime are not just hot sensational headline topics or some sort of policies rather than it is something that people are experiencing and are affected by on a daily basis at different places. For instance, involvement in disruptive behaviors, theft, harassment and deliberate destruction of public property etc. this arises a need to enhance the security of people by securing businesses, streets and other public places. 

What the Initiative Means!

Partnership with Authorities

McDonald’s has declared that its restaurants are a part of the communities where people meet, public places, restaurants where friends and families join for pleasure time and in the retail section where people got their jobs. These are places where the safety of people and belonging matters and cannot be taken for granted. 

The campaign is launched as “Winter of Action” where McDonald’s has joined its hands with the local services of social behavior to ensure the safety of people. The core reason for McDonald’s to work with communities is to address the issue that is triggering the matter and to discourage anti-social behavior.

Shared Responsibility

McDonald’s says that restaurants facing harassment, theft are the problem of anti-social behavior that is not associated only with the business, instead it is a critical public matter which affects people particularly McDonald’s employees, customers and the group of people served by McDonald’s. Moreover, this phenomenon is not something theoretical or abstract, but a large number of people are affected due to anti socialism. This fear of disruptive behavior creates havoc in the form of people feeling insecure, fearful that restricts the families to visit their nearby streets.

• Summers Improvements: All the above mentioned problems comprehensively explains and are a proof that shows why this collaboration of Government and McDonald’s matters in actuality. In summers Consequently, McDonald’s efforts become fruitful when the police department makes arrests and illegal goods are seized and a big difference and a layer of peace has been seen around the McDonald’s.

What McDonald’s is Doing

In this Winter Christmas Holiday Season McDonald’s is striving and is more focused on the implementation of the precautionary measures across the restaurants and nearby places to ensure the safety of the citizens. Such as;

Training Crew 

The staff of the restaurant has been trained so that they can compete in difficult circumstances keeping their customers and surroundings secure. 

Security measurements

Beside that, an advanced system of security has been installed in the McDonald’s restaurants across the country. The security is dedicated to the safety of people where the entire team is connected with each other through the mics or remotely particularly during the peak hours as well as a new and organized system of body-worn cameras is under progress. 

Engagement with Community

McDonald’s and its franchise restaurants deeply care for the safety of their customers therefore the restaurants are associated with the community to share useful information and to take part in the initiatives taken by the government for support and effective results. 

Safer Social Youth Hub

The core purpose of McDonald’s provision of support to reduce Anti-Social behavior is to allocate a safer environment to the youth since it is a social hub. Moreover,  McDonald’s is more than a typical restaurant experience for the young generation by collaborating with nearby youth services, provisioning a precise staff for assistance etc.

Industry-leading Safeguarding

Another major collaboration has been made by the McDonald’s with an exclusive charity department “Power the Fight” and the University of Durham. The fundamental purpose of this association is to enhance security and to consider extensive protection capabilities.  

A new PHD program is also funded in this regard by the McDonald’s which elaborates comprehensively the ways through which businesses are supporting the young people who are becoming a part of leadership or associated with business roles, through effective academic research.

As we all know McDonald’s cannot fulfill these duties alone, the accomplishment of the purpose requires all the community groups of business, law enforcement departments, local groups to unite and work together, since we know that Anti-Social Behavior Against Communities create a havoc in society and intensely put negative impact on people mind and well being. This is proof that the issue is not restricted to only businesses.

Why it Matters!

It is obvious that retail businesses are generating revenue in millions every year but it is crucial that human life is more precious and greater. We need to consider that whenever a person is threatened or any other person encounters abusive behavior, it absolutely destroys the confidence of the people. Therefore we are working on multiplex projects investing in education, partnerships, training and technology in order to create a peaceful environment nearby.

Final Thoughts!

In the end, I just say that the efforts McDonald’s has made and still striving for are excellent. Since we intensely need some actions against the wrong behaviors to minimize the negativity in the community and to encourage positive behavior through taking actions against the people  by working collectively with the Government.
